Morgan Partners was founded in 2005 by Marc Maselli. The firm is based outside of Boston and has a regional office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Founder and Managing Director
|Marc founded Morgan Partners with the objective of bringing white-glove service, a management consulting style, and superior transaction outcomes to the fintech M&A market.
Under his leadership, the firm has completed complex and influential transactions, both large and small, for a variety of customers across four continents.
Prior to Morgan Partners, Marc was the CEO of Back Bay Technologies, a strategy and systems integration consulting firm which he co-founded in 1997 and sold to Zanett, Inc. in 2001.
Marc began his career at Andersen Consulting and has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Marc is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”), holds FINRA and NFA brokerage licenses, has earned the FLMI, FFSI, AAPA, and ACS Insurance designations from LOMA, and is a multi-asset class electronic trading subject matter expert.

Patrick joined Morgan Partners in 2013 to help accelerate growth of the firm’s fintech M&A platform.
Prior to Morgan Partners, he spent five years running the insurance technology M&A practice at boutique investment bank Sherman & Company, ranking #1 in the SNL Insurance Tech League Tables from 2010-2012, and three years in technology M&A with Triarch Partners.
Patrick founded eCommerce firm MarketVelocity in 1999, serving as its CEO through the 2002 merger with VC-backed TradeUps and exiting in 2004.
His career began at Andersen Consulting, after which he pursued his MBA in Finance at the University of Michigan’s Ross School and joined NationsBank/Bank of America in Corporate and Investment Banking. Patrick later worked with financial technology firms Broadway & Seymour and Pegasystems prior to founding MarketVelocity.
He has an undergraduate degree in Math and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
