Patrick joined Morgan Partners in 2013 to help accelerate growth of the firm’s FinTech M&A platform.
Prior to Morgan Partners, he spent five years running the insurance technology M&A practice at boutique investment bank Sherman & Company, ranking #1 in the SNL Insurance Tech League Tables from 2010-2012, and three years in technology M&A with Triarch Partners.
Patrick founded B2B eCommerce firm MarketVelocity in 1999, serving as its CEO through the 2002 merger with VC-backed TradeUps and exiting in 2004.
His career began at Andersen Consulting, after which he pursued his MBA in Finance at the University of Michigan’s Ross School and joined NationsBank/Bank of America in Corporate and Investment Banking. Patrick later worked with financial technology firms Broadway & Seymour and Pegasystems prior to founding MarketVelocity.
Patrick has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he studied Math and Computer Science.
